Polaris Guiding Console
Instructional and AI-assisted Linux control. It explains each step as you go.
In developmentWhat it is
Polaris is a desktop app for looking after Linux computers, your own or remote ones over SSH. Each computer gets its own tab with a live view of its hardware, programs and files, plus your real shell. The AI assistant suggests commands, and nothing runs until you press Enter.
What it does
- Your real shell, with a command list and an AI assistant beside it
- Tabs for this computer and any number of remote ones over SSH
- Guided SSH setup: connect, check the fingerprint, set up a key, then turn passwords off
- Every installed program, from the package manager, AUR, Flatpak or by hand, with ones nothing manages flagged
- Live hardware: CPU, temperature, memory, graphics, drives and network
- Sudo stays off until you switch it on
